CBAT is structured across nine focused modules, each building practical capability for entry-level accounting and business roles.
Module 1 — Practical Accounting
The foundation of the programme. Students learn the complete accounting cycle using real business documents and practical scenarios. Training covers bookkeeping and voucher entry, invoicing and billing systems, maintenance of accounting and statutory registers, bank reconciliation, payroll processing, inventory management, financial statement preparation, and finalisation of accounts for trading, service, retail, and non-profit organisations.
What you gain: The ability to independently manage day-to-day accounting operations, prepare financial statements, and maintain complete books of accounts for a real business.
Module 2 — Accounts Management
Students learn how finance is managed at a business level — not just recorded. Topics include budget preparation and expense monitoring, income tracking, cash flow management, fund allocation, and basic financial decision-making for small and medium businesses.
What you gain: The ability to prepare budgets, monitor expenses, manage cash flow, and support basic financial control in a business environment.
Module 3 — Online and Offline Banking
Students gain practical knowledge of corporate banking operations. Training covers payment systems including cheque, DD, PO, RTGS, NEFT, IMPS, UPI, and Fast Money, cheque writing and printing procedures, and documentation for business loans, overdraft facilities, cash credit, and vehicle loans.
What you gain: Confidence in executing business banking transactions accurately, handling payment documentation, and managing credit facility procedures in a corporate setting.
Module 4 — Software Training
Students receive hands-on training on the accounting and office software that employers use every day. Training covers Tally Prime (complete accounting, inventory, GST, payroll, and banking), GST simulation software, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and ChatGPT and AI tools for accounting and business productivity.
What you gain: Practical software proficiency in Tally Prime, Excel, and AI tools — the three most commonly expected digital skills in entry-level accounting and office administration roles across Kerala.
Module 5 — Auditing and Taxation Compliance
Students learn Indian taxation compliance at a practical level. Training covers GST fundamentals and registration, GSTR filing procedures, e-Way Bill generation, e-Challan payment, and day-to-day compliance procedures — all practiced through simulation software using realistic business scenarios.
What you gain: The ability to assist with GST registration, GSTR filing, e-Way Bill generation, and day-to-day tax compliance independently — one of the most in-demand entry-level skills in accounting firms and businesses across Malappuram and Kerala.
Module 6 — AI Integrated Accounting
Students learn how Artificial Intelligence is used in modern accounting environments. Topics include basics of AI and its role in accounting, smart data handling, automated data entry, AI-powered reporting support, and productivity tools for accounting work.
What you gain: The ability to use AI tools to improve speed, accuracy, and efficiency in accounting tasks — giving graduates a competitive edge over candidates with no AI exposure.
Module 7 — Business Law
Students develop awareness of the legal framework that supports business and financial operations. Topics include the Indian Contract Act, the Negotiable Instruments Act, and Corporate Law fundamentals.
What you gain: Understanding of legal compliance, contractual obligations, and corporate governance principles that apply to accounting and business administration roles.
Module 8 — Soft Skills and Professional Development
Students build the workplace confidence and communication capability that technical training alone does not develop. Training covers mock interviews that simulate real company hiring processes, business communication skills, presentation skills, workplace etiquette, and professional behaviour in corporate environments.
What you gain: The professional confidence, communication skills, and interview readiness to compete effectively for entry-level accounting and business roles from day one after completing CBAT.
Module 9 — Practical Workshops and Industry Projects
The programme closes with hands-on project work that brings all nine modules together. Students complete real document accounting practice, accounts preparation exercises, basic business report creation, and live case practice — simulating the day-to-day responsibilities of an entry-level accounts assistant or junior accountant.
What you gain: Real-world practical experience working on complete accounting scenarios — the confidence and capability to handle actual workplace responsibilities from the first day of employment.
